Christians who lead — and Christians who want to learn to — and who want their faith to actually govern how they do it, not sit beside it. Business owners, managers, ministry and nonprofit leaders, and anyone stewarding people, money, or influence are all welcome. If you carry decisions you want to make faithfully, and you want peers who will pray about them and then hold you to what you said, you’re the person we built this for.

Ten weeks, one hour a week, in person — part of Church by the Glades’ fall lifegroup semester. Eight of those weeks are the video sessions; the first and last run about thirty minutes longer, for introductions at the start and reflection at the end.

A defined end date is deliberate. You are agreeing to ten weeks, not to something open-ended you have to find a polite way out of.

The session list is above. We use their material as a resource; we’re an independent lifegroup, not one of their groups.

We watch each video together in the room rather than as homework. Nobody has to arrive prepared, and nobody has to pretend they watched it.

No. Business owners are welcome, but so are managers, team leads, ministry and nonprofit leaders, and anyone who wants to grow into leading well. What matters is that you’re responsible for something — people, resources, a mission — and want to steward it faithfully.

We set our own ground rules in week one, but four come with the curriculum and we keep them:

• Show up to at least 80% of the sessions. Community doesn’t survive inconsistency.
• Confidentiality, and the vulnerability that earns. What is said here stays here.
• Respect for different theological traditions. We come from various church backgrounds and look for Gospel unity across them.
• Group time stays on the study and each other. We keep the hour on the conversation, not on side agendas.

There’s no form here on purpose. Registration runs through Church by the Glades with the rest of the fall lifegroups, and the facilitators add members personally so the group stays a room of people who actually know each other.

There’s no cost to join — no dues, nothing to buy to be part of the group. If that ever changes, you’ll hear it directly from a facilitator before it affects you, never as a surprise.

Each session ends with a couple of questions. You write your answer down, we collect them, and the facilitators post the questions on the Questions of the Week section of this site.

Members of the group can submit an answer through the Google Form linked there. A facilitator reviews every submission, and the ones we post go up on the page for the whole group to read. The idea is that someone who has been through something similar can speak wisdom into it — a way to help each other get to good answers between sessions.

The relationships are meant to outlast the study. In the final session we talk about what comes next as a group — whether to keep meeting, and who is ready to facilitate the next cohort.

That last part is built into the curriculum on purpose: the people it works on are expected to go and lead it for someone else.
